Professors Karen Shimakawa, Allen Weiss, and André Lepecki as well as alumni Marc Arthur (PhD '19) and Joshua Takano Chambers Leston (PhD '09) will be speaking and presenting work at Park Avenue Armory's symposium "A Dream You Dream Together" on February 15th and February 16th, 2025 in New York City.

This two-day symposium will celebrate Yoko Ono and her enduring legacy of arts activism for peace and creativity with a host of scholars, artists, writers, and activists for a series of panels and performances that explore Ono’s message and her impact on the art world and the world at-large. Panels include:

A Brief Genealogy of Cracks, with Karen Shimakawa and Allen Weiss (February 15th, 2:15pm - 3:15pm)

Memories of a Supernatural AIDS Crisis, written and directed by Marc Arthur (February 15th, 3:30pm - 4:30pm)

Unfinished Grief Symphony: Yoko Ono and the Art of the Breakdown, with Joshua Takano Chambers Leston (February 16th, 2:15pm - 3:15pm)

In the (event of) blink, with André Lepecki (February 16th, 3:30pm - 4:30pm)
