B.A. Candidate Micaela Brinsley is currently an Editorial Intern at Ms. Magazine.  She is continuing her work there writing about women's rights issues during this pandemic.

Brinsley’s most recent piece covers the issue of "Combating Domestic Violence During the COVID-19 Epidemic" in an interview with Alejandra Y. Castillo, CEO of the YWCA USA, the nation’s largest provider of sexual violence and domestic abuse services. She also wrote about the ongoing "Anti-Abortion Harassment and Extremism". The story discusses the continued challenges for healthcare providers at clinics across the country that provide abortion services where anti-choice protesters have continued to show up. These individuals are refusing to comply with the nationwide calls for people to practice social distancing.
