The School of the Body: dancing between healing and expression

A “danced conference” by Álvaro Restrepo, Marie France Delieuvin, and La Compañía Cuerpo de Indias

La Compañía Cuerpo de Indias (profesional nucleus of EL COLEGIO DEL CUERPO (1997) -The School of The Body in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia) directed by Álvaro Restrepo (Colombia) and Marie France Delieuvin (France) is visiting the USA, invited for the third time for an artistic residency at Robert Wilson's laboratory for performance THE WATERMILL CENTER in Southampton, Long Island. During their stay in the Hamptons area, besides sharing  through open rehearsals, workshops and lecture/demonstrations their artistic/pedagogical/social/political approach to dance and the arts with local communities, the company will be offering a “danced conference” by the directors and a showing of excerpts of the company's repertoire and creative/pedagogical process.
