Zihan is a queer performance and moving-image artist and educator from Singapore. His work strives to reconcile the tension between the ‘flesh’ of the performing body with the ‘bone’ of the archive. He emphasises the labor and malleability of memory through various representational strategies that includes performance re-enactments, essay films and data visualization.

Zihan's moving-image works have been screened at various international film festivals including Pusan International Film Festival (South Korea), AFI Festival (Los Angeles), NewFest (New York) and the London LGBT Festival (U.K.). His performances have been presented at the Singapore International Festival of Arts, Brisbane Festival and Rapid Pulse International Performance Art Festival (Chicago).

As an educator, he was adjunct and part-time faculty member at various arts institutions in Singapore including The School of the Arts and the National Institute of Education. He has presented his work at the School of Oriental and Asian Studies (U.K.), University of the Arts, Helsinki (Finland) and Asia Society (New York).

Beyond his own work, Zihan participates actively as collaborator and performer. As collaborator he has worked with The Necessary Stage (Singapore) in various theatrical projects as multimedia artist. As performer, he was involved in Xavier Le Roy's 'Retrospective' (Singapore, 2014).

He is attending NYU with support from a Postgraduate Arts Scholarship awarded by the National Arts Council of Singapore.
