Darrell Martin talks to Open Arts Students
Open Arts students in Patricia Hoffbauer's class Body as Entertainment/Commerce were treated to a lecture and workshop from Darrell Martin, featured in the critically acclaimed documentary Paris is Burning! Martin discussed his experience as a vogue dancer in the late 80s and early 90s and what it meant to participate in balls. Along with the lecture, Martin taught the students some of the basics of voguing, having the students battle one another to see who could get tens across the board!
