Tora Thuland

Tora is a curiosity-driven and usability-obsessed designer from Oslo, Norway, currently residing in Brooklyn. She describes her process as systems-minded and user-centric, and she strives to keep users of every ability, gender, culture, and ethnicity at the center of her design approach. 

Tora holds a BA in Communication and before coming to ITP she worked at Gelato, a rapidly-growing tech startup founded in Oslo. She has a diverse and interdisciplinary background and her experience ranges from graphic design to digital marketing. 

At ITP she is focused on exploring how emerging technologies can disrupt access to opportunity, experiences, and information - while discovering the new interactions that will facilitate these shifts. She is currently also working as a part of the web accessibility team at ITP/IMA.

Aside from design and all things tech-related, Tora loves listening to podcasts while cooking, binge-watching Youtube while eating, and even though she can't sing, her secret dream is to one day represent Norway in the Eurovision song contest.
