Grad Film alumna Kate Tsang has won this year's prestigious AT&T Presents: Untold Stories grant.  The grant is now in its third year, and all three winners have been NYU Tisch Graduate Film alumni.

AT&T Presents: Untold Stories. An Inclusive Film Program in Collaboration with Tribeca provides a top-prize funding of $1 million each year to a talented director to create a film, and Tribeca provides the director mentorship from seasoned industry professionals.

Tsang won for her film Marvelous and the Black Hole, about teenage delinquent Sammy Ko, who teams up with a surly children's party magician on a bizarre adventure to navigate her tumultuous home life and inner demons.  Tsang’s film will premiere at the 2020 Tribeca Film Festival, and AT&T and Tribeca will work with the filmmaker on a distribution strategy.

The previous Grad Film alumni recipients of the award are Faraday Okoro & Sasie Sealy.
