It was announced today that Grad Film Professor and Oscar-winner Donna Gigliotti has been elected to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' board of governors.
Gigliotti, who produced the Oscars ceremony in February, is one of five new governors elected to the board. She is the third woman ever to be elected to serve in the "Executives" category, following Amy Pascal and Mary Pickford.
