Alumni Cenk Erturk and Federico Cesca won big for the film “Noah Land” at this year's International Adana Film Festival. Erurk took home Best Film and Best Director for the film, while Cesca won Best Cinematographer. “Noah Land,” which Erturk wrote and directed, follows a man having to face angry villagers in order to realize his estranged father’s dying wish to be buried under the enshrined Noah Tree.

Adana Golden Boll International Film Festival is a Turkish film festival dedicated to celebrating films diverging from traditional cinema towards a political consciousness. Previously, “Noah Land” was also awarded Best Screenplay in International Narrative Competition at Tribeca Film Festival. Tribeca Film called the film “a thoughtful and deeply felt debut from Cenk Erturk.”
