Professor Sameh Zoabi won an award at the 2018 Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA) this week for his film Tel Aviv on Fire.
Zoabi received the APSA for Best Screeplay. Tel Aviv on Fire recently won multiple awards at the Venice Film Festival. It follows Salam, an inexperienced young Palestinian man, who becomes a writer on a popular soap opera after a chance meeting with an Israeli soldier.
