Thesis student Raven Jackson has won one of the Fall 2018 SFFILM Rainin Grants. Jackson won for her feature project all dirts roads taste of salt, which is currently in development. Thesis student Maria Altamirano is producing the film.
The Rainin Grants are the largest grant program for narrative features in the US and only choose seven projects to receive grants each round. Some past winners include Sorry to Bother You, Monsters and Men, Short Term 12, and Fruitvale Station.
