Kevin is a writer and director based in New York City. Originally from Singapore, Kevin creates stories centered around underrepresented communities and strives to showcase authentic representations of them. Kevin graduated summa cum laude from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts with a degree in Film and Television and a minor in Business in Entertainment, Media & Technology. For Crimson Harvest, Kevin decided to step out of his comfort zone and create something that scared him: the idea of loneliness and falling out of love. The film was also sparked by the idea of having a film unique to Chinese New Year, similar to other festive events like Christmas. Outside of his film and television career, Kevin works as the Digital Marketing and Social Media Manager for Mandarin Oriental, New York. He is also working on a pilot, 'Fitting', originally created by himself as a web series for NYU's TV Bootcamp class.
