Alyssa Loh is an artist living in New York. She is pursuing a joint MBA/MFA in film at New York University. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa with Honors from Princeton University, where she received the Ward Mathis Award for best short story. At Princeton, she was selected by Toni Morrison to build an installation art project in the Lucas Gallery under her guidance, and completed a senior thesis, a collection of short stories, under the advisement of Jeffrey Eugenides. She was awarded Outstanding Work by a Junior and Outstanding Work by a Freshman for her creative work those years. Alyssa began her career in literary magazines, serving as deputy editor of The American Reader. Her writing has appeared in ARTFORUM, The Los Angeles Review of Books, The Paris Review, among other publications. She currently serves on the editorial board of the history journal Lapham’s Quarterly.
