In 1901 Sicily, young Girolama Lucido is next in line to be sent to America for a marriage, after her previously promised older sister runs away. Girolama must decide if she will go to America and remain a part of the family, or run away like her sister to stay in the country she loves, but become disowned.

J.L. Wright is a recent graduate of NYU Tisch's undergraduate film and television program, where she focused on directing, production sound mixing, and picture editing. She is currently the front house manager at Whitehouse Post, helping out editors, producers, and clients. She freelances in her free time and you can see her recent editing collaboration with Iriving Harvey for Complex and Wild Turkey's new talk show with Matthew McConaughey on Wild Turkey's social media. J.L. is eager to collaborate with more creators and companies this upcoming year. She is also excited to be entering her two shorts, Isula Di Fimmini and Dependent, into festivals.
