Synopsis: Jesse works her last night shift at a diner in the middle of nowhere, with plans to move to NYC and chase her dreams of becoming a singer/songwriter. What her customers and co-worker don’t realize: she just killed the manager in his back office and is desperate for a way out of this situation.

Originally from Massachusetts, Carter Kratkiewicz is a writer/director based out of New York City. In May 2020 he graduated from NYU Tisch Film & Television. After exploring the roles of assistant camera, videographer, editor, grip, and director of photography, he decided to focus on his passion for writing and directing, resulting in the film Things Could Be Better. He currently works as a script reader and freelance editor.
