Paul Oscar Kanter is a Dutch American writer and director based in New York City. He is currently in his Thesis Year as a Graduate Film MFA candidate at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, where he has gained experience writing, directing and producing short films, and crewing on Tisch projects.

After earning his MA in Film Studies in the Netherlands, he co-founded production company Alchemic Film in 2017, which produced short films that have been selected for film festivals including Cannes, Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, International Film Festival Rotterdam, and the Netherlands Film Festival.

He is currently working on his NYU Thesis project.
