Synopsis: Cake After Midnight tells the story of Gillian, a romantic control freak. She visits a psychic to glimpse her future with Jeb, her oddball boyfriend whom she plans to elaborately propose to the next day. When the psychic professes, among other strange claims, that Jeb is not the one for her, Gillian attempts to discredit her clairvoyance in its entirety. However, in her efforts to reveal that the psychic’s fortunes are incorrect, Gillian unwittingly proves each prophecy to be true. With this knowledge, she must decide whether to abandon a relationship proclaimed to be doomed, or embrace the uncertainty of their future.

Kat Iossa is a New York City-based director who obtained her BFA in Film and TV Production from NYU Tisch School of the Arts in January 2020. Growing up in New Jersey, Kat spent perhaps too much of her childhood watching TV and movies, and is very excited to begin her career as a director of screen and stage!
