Matt Laud is a thesis student in the graduate film directing program at NYU Tisch. He works primarily in narrative comedy, and before grad school was a writing and improv alum at the UCB theater in New York City, wrote and performed in a sketch comedy group with whom he hosted a monthly show for three years on the Lower East Side, and shot small viral comedy videos that have appeared on the homepages of College Humor, Funny or Die and more. He grew up in New Jersey and Vermont, and attended Boston College as an undergrad. His films have taken him to festivals around the country, including the Austin Film Festival and the New York Television Festival.
