Rikke Louise Schodt, is an award winning writer and director based between Brooklyn, NY and Copenhagen, Denmark. Originally from Denmark and partly raised in Norway, Rikke grew up surrounded by the Scandinavian nature, which often plays a big part in her storytelling. She is deeply interested in exploring what events and choices that define us as characters.
A recent graduate from the prestigious MFA film program at the NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Rikke has received the Hollywood Foreign Press Association Fellowship Grant, the Steven J Ross Fellowship, the TSOA Fellowship and scholarship as well as being a Wasserman Finalist (2017) and a Roger King Finishing Award Finalist (2018). Her narrative work has been screened in places like Iceland, all over the US and Europe.
Currently Rikke is in development of an original TV show set in Copenhagen, produced by Drive Studios and to be aired on the Danish network Yousee in 2019.
