A sheltered Mexican-American boy living in East Oakland, ALONZO, breaks his parents' rules and ventures out with his Black neighbor, JUVON. What they encounter leads to the casting of racial prejudice aside in favor of humanity.

Oscar is a Mexican-American filmmaker, raised in East Oakland and also on a farm outside of Fresno. After studying ancient architecture at Harvard, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue film producing and subsequently enrolled at NYU's graduate film program to study writing and directing. Oscar's work has screened at festivals worldwide including Tribeca, LA Film Fest, Cinequest, and Montreal. Most recently Oscar was the main producer of "Nigerian Prince", a feature film that was the inaugural recipient of AT&T/Tribeca's Untold Stories $1 Million fund. The film was mainly shot in Nigeria in 2017 and early 2018 and was released theatrically by Vertical Entertainment and DirecTV in October of 2018. Oscar has received awards and honors from the Mellon-Mays Foundation, the National Foundation for Hispanic Arts, the Jerome Foundation, and the National Association of Theater Owners. Oscar is now developing projects with other filmmakers as well as his own, a psychological thriller/horror feature about the horrors of wealth disparity, Food Chain. Oscar currently resides in New York City.
