Rikke Louise Schjødt is a Brooklyn based writer and director.

Born in the suburbs of Copenhagen, Denmark and partly raised in Oslo, Norway, Rikke grew up wanting to understand what events shape people into becoming who they are. From an early age Rikke was fascinated with character development, which lead her into the art of acting. It was during an acting lesson she discovered her complete fascination and passion for developing stories and directing, as she would continually direct herself on stage.

Rikke has made several short films which have received support from various talent development organizations in Denmark, and which have been nominated for several awards.

Currently Rikke is finishing her MFA degree in Film Production at New York University, Tisch School of the Arts, where she has been awarded a TSOA Department Fellowship.
