Television Writing & Production Full-time Faculty

The Kanbar Institute's Department of Undergraduate Film & Television at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts is seeking to fill a full-time position on the Assistant Professor tenure-track in Television Writing & Production to begin in September 2020. 

Qualifications: Candidates should have proven and significant experience as a writer of either hour-long drama or half-hour comedy and as a creative producer in development, production and post-production of a narrative series on network television and/or cable. Additional preference will be given to candidates with experience in single and multi-cam studio-based producing and/or directing. Evidence of teaching experience or ability at the university level is preferred, as well as demonstrated leadership ability in a creative/collaborative environment.

Duties include teaching 5 courses per year (generally assigned as 3 in one semester and 2 in the other semester), advising undergraduate students, and participating in departmental and/or school-wide committees. Ongoing professional work is encouraged and expected.
