In recent news, Assistant Arts Professor Erin B. Mee gave a lecture at IIT Mumbai, which was attended by more than 3,000 people in India, Nepal, Turkey, and across Europe.
Titled "Online Digital Performance During COVID," the talk analyzed the ways in which the COVID-19 pandemic has offered a unique opportunity for theatre makers around the world to move their work online, resulting in an expansion of dramaturgical structures, modes of engagement, and foundational ideas about what theatre is and what it can do, as well as fostering international collaboration for artists who could meet online.
Case studies were taken from the United States, UK, Russia, India, Germany, and Argentina.
Additionally, two of her theatre company's productions were chosen to be part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Online: Play In Your Bathtub (still available here) and Guru of Touch (still available here).
