NYU Tisch Dance Professor, cari ann shim sham*, presents newest short dance film titled "body landscapes" and will be screened at the 2024 San Francisco Dance Film Festival, with in-person screenings October 16 - 20 at multiple SF venues.
Sans Souci has included "body landscapes" as part of their Twenty-First Annual Festival Season. It will be screened in the "Dancing as Ourselves" program on Sunday, October 20 at 1pm, and again Wednesday, October 23 at 7pm at Dairy Arts Center's Boedecker Cinema in Boulder, Colorado, USA.
"body landscapes" is cari ann's newest short dance film. Originally developed as a generative art project minted on fx(hash) and also on objkt.com as animated gifs that were exhibited by Loop Art Critique in the Slipping Past exhibition Dec 15th, 2023 - Feb 11, 2024, the project expanded to a short film that premiered at the Kingsborough Art Museum in the "Hello Brooklyn!" / Techspressionism exhibition now viewable through Sept 25th, 2024.
