Everyday events: the practice of making, the practice of showing Workshop

Led by Collaborative Arts Visiting Artist Luis A. Lara Malvacías, the aim of the workshop is to awaken the participants' awareness of the intrinsic relationship between artistic creation and our observations of, and reactions to, everyday events and our surroundings, and of performance as a further step resulting from these experiences. We will work inside and outside the studio, including walking sessions to create maps of the city, and to collect different materials that can be used to create small dance and performance works: movement materials, video and sound materials, composition material, etc. The workshop will end with the creation of a collective installation and movement performance. All people interested in movement and performance are welcome.

The workshop will take place on Saturday, April 15th from 10 AM to 3 PM at 181 Mercer Room 563. You can sign up for the event by filling out the linked Google Form here. RSVPs are due by Friday, March 31st.
