Spring 2026 Registration Information

Follow these steps to register for Spring 2026 classes in the Martin Scorsese Department of Cinema Studies.

Step One: Course Selection

Check out the Cinema Studies courses offered this spring! University-wide course listings are available in Albert.

Be sure to check your Degree Progress Report on Albert to see what courses are required to keep you on track to graduate.

You can also check student handbooks for more detailed information about required courses and a suggested trajectory:

Confused about which courses fulfill your requirements? BA students can refer to this guide while planning their schedule.

Step TWO: Course Clearance

In order to be cleared to register for Spring 2026 courses, all Cinema Studies students must complete the Fall 2025 Student Information form.

Completing the Student Information form allows the department to stay up-to-date with your contact information, degree information, and tentative registration plans.

Step Three: Advising

Have questions about what Spring 2026 courses you should take in order to stay on track to graduate? Stop by one of our drop-in advising sessions to speak with a staff advisor. Students will be seen in-person on a first-come, first-served basis, unless otherwise indicated. Students can expect these advising meetings to last 10-15 minutes.

Have questions about the content of specific courses? Have questions about life after graduation? Be sure to sign up to meet with faculty during their office hours to discuss any issues not related to registration.

Staff members are not available to advise students over email. All registration-related questions should be brought to the drop-in sessions listed above.

Have questions beyond Spring 2026 registration? Sign up for office hours with an advisor after Thanksgiving break.

Meeting with an advisor is optional, so feel free to skip this step!
