Erica Gold, Major League Baseball, Summer 2015
Major League Baseball gave me the opportunity to immerse myself in the world of baseball while assisting in the assessing and processing of historic collections. These collections ranged from the 1986 radio broadcasts of the Mets championship season as well as a collection containing scouting tapes spanning three decades of hopeful young athletes hoping to break into the major leagues. By the end of the summer, I had digitized over 250 hours of audio as well assessed and processed 782 tapes and compact discs from two collections.
