Jonah Volk, New York Public Library for the Performing Arts - Jerome Robbins Dance Division, Spring 2009, IMLS

Jonah Volk's background in dance from previous work at the Simon & Goodman Picture Company prepared him well for his tasks at the Dance Division, who was engaged in a major project to move their portions of their audiovisual collection from storage with a vendor to a regional non-profit space, ReCAP. Volk identified, re-housed, barcoded, and created complex accession and item-level records for multiple film elements that required relationship to be maintained. He also took the opportunity to spend time observing and studying the preservation workflows used in the Division for media and film.
