Crystal Rangel participated in the Preservation Department's beta-testing of a new system for video digitization the SAMMA Solo that automates the process of making preservation masters. She then moved on to film, inspecting a recent acquisition by the Tamiment Library/Wagner Labor Archives of Communist Party USA films. Rangel rounded out her internship by processing preservation and access copies of audiotapes from the Archives of Irish American that were delivered from a vendor, ensuring that both the analog tapes and the digital files were properly stored.
