At MTV, Jennifer Pondo gained experience with the operations and culture of a busy corporate video library where individual producers need items quickly and the holdings are important as company assets. Cataloging, tracking across multiple locations, and serving producer needs were among her daily tasks. Also, MTV had recently launched a digitization project, giving Pondo a view of how key decisions about digital asset management are made in a for-profit environment.
