Soojin Park, Whitney Museum of American Art, Fall 2019
During my internship at the Whitney Museum of American Art, I had the pleasure of working with the members of the Media Preservation Initiative (MPI) Project to assess the optical discs for the museum's time-based media works from their permanent collection. This involved learning how to use a Media Asset Management system called the The Museum System (TMS), utilizing the resources and documentations to research the technical and historical details of well known and historically important artworks, and being exposed to an environment where you can observe how different departments within the museum work and collaborate.
