Jacob Zaborowski, AFS Intercultural Programs, Fall 2016, NEH
The American Field Service was active in World Wars I and II; in 1946, they became AFS Intercultural Programs. Since then, they have fostered peace and understanding through cultural student exchange programs. I worked with the AFS' Archives sizable media collection, which included 35mm, 16mm, and 8mm film, some of it dating back to World War I. I helped find supplies for repairing and rehousing film, in addition to researching software that would help the archives better catalog and manage their media collection's metadata.
