Richard at Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage

This summer I interned at the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Culture Hertiage as part of the Ralph Rinzler Archives and the documentation team for the 2024 Folklife Festival. While at CFCH, I worked on digitizing analog betacam tapes associated with the 2004 opening of the National Museum of the American Indian as well as processed born-digital video files coming from the camera cards from the video team documenting this year's Folklife Festival. Additionally I helped workshop the development of new workflows associated with the processing/ingestion of digital video files coming from camera cards for future festivals.
