APP '22 Narkita's work "Black in Denver" was featured on PBS as an artistic exhibition that explores social justice through ethnography.

"Black in Denver" is a visual ethnography that challenges essentialist assumptions of Black identity by illustrating in photos and words the vast diversity of the Black Diaspora. Her work, a Tisch HEAR US awardee, provides an ever-evolving extension of the Black experience and spotlights the diverse perspectives of individuals involved in the series. The PBS feature unpacks Narkita's work and vision for deconstructing stereotypes and generalizations about Blackness. Narkita shares her Black experience as the people behind the profiles featured in the exhibition share their conception of how they are perceived and how they push against those perceptions.
