Arts Politics student Tatiana Mena Ramos organized a community discussion event titled "Café Conciencia: Let's Talk About Gentrification in Puerto Rican Communities" which will be held at Mil Mundos Books this Saturday, November 23rd at 3:30pm.

Café Conciencia is an informal and open conversation that welcomes anyone who knows, wants to learn or has lived through the topic selected hosted by non-profit Mentes Puertorriqueñas en Acción in collaboration with the Puerto Rican Student Association at NYU. The topics to discuss will be around the processes of gentrification from many different lenses, how this is affecting communities, how culture within these areas is evolving and what can be done. Experts and community leaders  will talk about their experiences and research to help guide the conversation.

This is a free event open to the public. RSVP for the event here
