Maya Contreras moderated a discussion at an event titled, Suppressed: The Fight to Vote. In collaboration with Brave New Films, the Brennan Center for Justice, NYU BALSA and the ACLU of New York, Maya provided an in-depth analysis and conversation on the politics around voter suppression. A documentary covering the 2018 Georgia Gubernatorial Election was screened followed by an informative Q&A with Perry Grossman of the NY Civil Liberties Union and Margi Trapani of the Center for Independence of the Disabled, New York.
