Maya Contreras testifying in support of NY Voting Rights Act
Maya Contreras testified this past Tuesday in support of the NY State Senate Bill S7528 NY Voting Rights Act representing the All Women's Progress Party.
The bill intends to enact into law major components of legislation which are necessary, but not sufficient, to ensure all eligible voters in the State of New York have the opportunity to exercise their rights under the Constitution of the State of New York related to the elective franchise, including Article I, Section 1 and Article II, Section 1; freedom of expression and association, including Article 1 Sections 8 and 9; equal protection of the laws, including Article I, Section 11; and an equal opportunity to participate in free and fair elections, including Article III, Sections 4 and 5.
