Actor, playwright and APP Professor Anna Deavere Smith performs letters from Frida Kahlo, Marcel Duchamp, Nam June Paik, and other influential 20th-century artists in season two of Getty’s “Recording Artists, Intimate Addresses” podcast!

The new season illuminates the lives and personalities of some of the 20th century’s most influential creators by drawing from the archive of the Getty Research Institute. The show is hosted by poet Tess Taylor who interviews contemporary artists and art historians who bring historical, racial and geopolitical context to the world in which the artists were working and living. Each episode focuses on one letter from one artist: Marcel Duchamp, Frida Kahlo, M. C. Richards, Benjamin Patterson, Nam June Paik, and Meret Oppenheim.
