Future Artists Programs

Wednesday, Oct 28, 2015

Are you a freshman, sophomore or junior in high school who is interested in spending your Saturday exploring the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University? You should check out our Future Artists programs at Tisch. These are FREE programs for high school students that run from the end of January through April 2016.  We have programs for Future Dancers and Dancer Makers, Future Dramatic Writers, Future Filmmakers, Future Film Scholars, Future Game Designers, Future Image Makers, Future Music Moguls, and Future Theatre Artists.

Every year the most curious and enthusiastic young Future Artists in the New York City Metro area apply for these programs and they create wonderful work during their Saturdays with us. The workshops are taught by current Tisch faculty and culminate in exceptional final projects in each discipline that are truly outstanding.

You will also get to meet terrific current Tisch students and recent alums who will talk to you candidly about their experience at the Tisch School of the Arts. They are a fantastic source of information and inspiration, and they welcome animated discussion. There is also a special session for parents and students on the college application process so you can get your questions answered and relieve some of the pressure of applying to college when the time comes.

Our Future Artist programs are a commitment.  They meet almost every Saturday from the end of January through April and if you are accepted you will be expected to attend every class. If you are a motivated, dynamic, inquisitive and passionate high school student we would love you to apply.

But the deadline is approaching – November 1st for the application and November 15th for the teacher recommendations. This is a wonderful opportunity. The online application and a lot of information can be found here. Don’t miss out on this wonderful opportunity to expand your world through the arts here at Tisch.
