Come join us on Wednesday, October 23rd at 6pm for a lively presentation from graduate international student Galarina Dolgovykh (Cinema Studies, M.A. '25 candidate) exploring New York's role in American cinema and movie theaters. By the end of the lecture, everyone will leave with a comprehensive list of must-visit spots for unforgettable cinematic experiences in New York City!

Galarina Dolgovykh is getting a Master's degree in Cinema Studies at Tisch to deepen her understanding of the cinematic medium. The scope of her research includes cinema theaters history, the role of cinema theaters in social integration, impact of cinema theaters on urban development. Galarina led the reopening of the historic Moscow Art Cinema, one of the oldest theaters globally at 111 years, and it has emerged as a premier venue for art-mainstream films and a hub for film festivals, hosting national independent film festivals and creating its own programs and retrospectives.
