Tisch Talks with Russell Tovey (Looking, The History Boys)

Russell Trovey

Join the GSO for our first Tisch Talks of 2016 with RUSSELL TOVEY (Looking, The History Boys).

We'll talk to the British actor, who is currently starring in A View From the Bridge (dir. Ivo Van Hove) on Broadway, about theatre, television, film, and what makes a good collaborator.

This is a conversation series that is open to all Tisch GRAD students.

RUSSELL TOVEY began acting at a young age and his career hit a stride after being cast in the play Howard Katz by Patrick Marber for the National Theatre. He went on to originate the role of Rudge in Alan Bennett’s The History Boys. The play went on to tour around the world and also played the role in the radio and film versions.

With many TV and film roles to his name, Russell has appeared in Doctor Who, Being Human, Sherlock, HBO’s Looking (and upcoming movie), and Banished

Currently, Russell is playing the role of Rodolpho in Arthur Miller’s A View from the Bridge on Broadway.
