Want to give back to the Tisch community as a volunteer mentor? Here are all the ways you can get involved!
New Graduates Mentor Program
Support graduating students during their transition from school to life by providing professional insights and friendly guidance. Volunteers each lead one "Ask Me Anything"-style group meeting, plus optional one-on-one chats with individual mentees. Mentor registration occurs in the spring, with meetings beginning in May. NYU LA Alumni Mentor Program
This program pairs Los Angeles-based alums with current students who are enrolled in courses at NYU Global's LA site. Volunteers should be alumni with demonstrated experience in film, music, TV, marketing, and business. The time commitment is minimal, with just three Zoom meetings over the course of one semester. To get more info and sign up, please download this info sheet or email nyu-la@nyu.edu.
Violet Network
Administered by the NYU Wasserman Center, Violet Network facilitates knowledge sharing and connections among NYU students and alumni. This online platform features online hubs for networking and offering career advice, as well as forums for discussions about shared professional concerns. Note that Violet Network includes students and alumni from programs beyond Tisch, so it's a great way to expand support to all of NYU's communities. Interested alumni can create Violet Network profiles and begin engaging with the platform at violetnetwork.nyu.edu.
