Parents & Families Day

Alumni & Families Weekend is a University-wide event during which Tisch hosts special sessions for parents and families visiting campus. 

The event schedule and details for October 25, 2025 are below. Registration for the Dean's Welcome is required for access to departmental sesssions and Drama Studio visits.

Tisch Dean's Welcome: 9:45AM - 10:15AM

Departmental Sessions (Manhattan): 10:30AM - 11:30AM

Departmental Sessions (Brooklyn): 11:00AM - 12:00PM

Drama Studio Visits: 2PM - 3:15PM

Enjoy performances by Tisch students and a welcome from Tisch Dean Rubén Polendo.

At the end of this session, you will be escorted to your student's department.

Departmental Session Locations

Departmental sessions begin immediately after the Dean's Welcome in Skirball and run until approximately 11:30.

You will be escorted to the departments by current students and staff. Metrocards will be provided to Brooklyn-bound guests, and and student and staff will join guests for that trip.

DRAMA STUDIO LOCATIONS

Parents and families of Drama students are welcome to visit their student's studio! Studio visits run from 2PM - 3:15PM. 

Atlantic Acting School (inside the Google Building)

Session will take place in STUDIO 4

Take the uptown A, C, or E trains (located at West Third Street and 6th Avenue) to 14th Street, exit near Eighth Avenue and 15th Street. Walk east on 15th Street. The entrance is near Ninth Avenue.

In the Tisch School of the Arts building (Not Tisch Hall at 40 West 4th Street!) A 5-minute walk east of Washington Square Park on West 4th Street to Broadway, turn left. Enter the building and go up the north stairs near the entrance turnstiles. Signs will guide you to the studio.

Take the uptown N or R train (located on Broadway at Waverly Place) to Union Square. Walk east through the park to 15th and Park Avenue. The event will take place in our third floor Irma Sandrey Theatre. When you arrive, you can let the front desk know you're here for Family Day and they will direct you up the stairs to the third floor. Please note there is no elevator in the building.
