Attend an immersive Commedia dell'Arte acting workshop  with Jim Calder, master teacher and head of movement at NYU Tisch Graduate Acting.

Experience some of the practical training covered in the NYU Tisch undergraduate summer study abroad program Commedia dell'Arte in Florence. You will take part in improvisation and mask and character work, challenging your intentions and movements to bring your characters to life. Along with Jim Calder, casting director Devin Shacket will also lead some on-screen audition exercises.

This workshop is intended to give prospective Commedia dell’Arte students exposure to what the six-week Florence program is all about. You will also have an opportunity to speak with program alumni about their experience abroad.

This event is open to all NYU and visiting undergraduate college students. To access this event, you may be requested to present your student ID.
