Since 1985, the International Center of Photography has recognized outstanding achievements in photography with its prestigious Infinity Awards. The awards ceremony is also ICP's primary fundraising benefit, with its revenues assisting the center's various programs.

For Freedoms, the first artist-run Super PAC, was honored as one of the recipients for the 2017 ICP Infinity award. For Freedoms was co-founded by DPI Alum Hank Willis Thomas (Class of '98) and Eric Gottesman. Artists that are featured under the For Freedoms movement include the Department's very own Bayeté Ross Smith.
