DPI Chair Deb Willis & Dr. Kalia Brooks interviewed on WBAI

DPI Chair Deb Willis was interviewed alongside faculty member Dr. Kalia Brooks on the WBAI "State of the Arts NYC" radio show. Host Savona Bailey-McClain asked the pair about a famous quote from Pablo Picasso: "Every Thing You Can Imagine Is Real." WBAI described Dr. Willis and Dr. Brooks as creators who "have pushed boundaries to retool space or reshaped history or attitudes." The show also included a discussion with two designers from the LAB at Rockwell, focusing on their installations at the Collective Design Fair

Kalia Brooks, PhD is an independent curator and writer based in New York. She currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at DPI. She received her M.A. in Curatorial Practice from the California College of the Arts ('06) and was a Helena Rubinstein Fellow in Critical Studies at the Whitney Independent Study Program from 2007 to 2008.
