Jayel Gant

Jayel is a black queer artist and scholar whose work centers empathy and the moving body. Recent projects include attempting to understand abuse as choreography, Performed politics of roller-skating, Intimacy and black hair, and the social nuances of sex work in our digital social sphere. Jayel is an avid student of non-violent communication practices and intergroup dialogue facilitation. They are a proud practitioner of racial healing circles with Truth Healing and Transformation Chicago.
