PS Alum Pauline Mornet (MA '22)

PS MA Alum ('22) Pauline Mornet has written an article 'Intimate Archives: Love Letters in Wartime Europe' in the latest issue of Performance Research: A Journal of Performing Arts. The article was originally devised during the 'Performing Memories' seminar within the Performance Studies department at NYU taught by Adjunct professor Maria Jose Contreras Lorenzini. The article discusses an archive of love letters written during the second world War and the harnessing of the 'autobiographical pact' as penned by historian Philippe Lejeune to create zones of intimacy and resilience in a period of conflict. The article is accompanied by a performance which was premiered at the Richard Schechner Studio alongside PS alum ('22) Joao Toledo.

Pauline is also currently a PhD candidate in Theatre and Performance Studies at Stanford University.
