Crowdsurf Performance

Crowdsurf Performance

PS Alum, Seamus Slattery (B.A. '23), and Jackie Bramhall-Heck have created “Crowdsurf” a durational performance piece as part of Chez Bushwick's ongoing performance series RECESS this Saturday, November 23rd, at 7:30 PM at 304 Boerum Street #23 in Brooklyn.

“Crowdsurf” is a durational performance piece parsing through the politics of exhaustion and collective care. Using video projection and movement, "Crowdsurf" offers fractals of embodiment from responses to social/environmental unrest—working it out, or through, and moving past the body’s permission. This piece is about bodily organizing and presence, asking what of our subject-hood slips away or is released when we trust in the care of the crowd.

The piece is also being performed by Chloe Kohlhoss, who minored in PS, and Angel Khaytyan. Learn more about the artists and purchase tickets at the link below!
