Congratulations to PS M.A. and Ph.D. alum Summer Kim Lee! She has started a new position as an Assistant Professor of English with a focus in feminist theory at University of California, Los Angeles. Previously she was a Mellon Faculty Fellow of English at Dartmouth College.

Prior to starting at UCLA Summer earned her MA and PhD in Performance Studies from New York University. She has research and teaching interests in Asian American literature, performance, and culture, critical race and ethnic studies, feminist theory, and queer theory. She is co-editor of a special issue of Women & Performance: a journal of feminist theory with Vivian L. Huangtitled, "Performances of Contingency: Feminist Relationality and Asian American Studies After the Institution." She has published and forthcoming work in Social Text, ASAP/Journal, the Oxford Research Encyclopedia of Asian American and Pacific Islander Literature and Culture, Asian Diasporic Visual Cultures and the Americas, Post45, Los Angeles Review of Books, and Public Books.
